Delete text messages from iTunes Backup:
Step 1 : Open iTunes, click on "iTunes" in the menu bar, then "Preferences."
Step 2 : Click on "Devices", You should see a list of all devices with a backup stored on your computer.
Step 3 : Click on the backup you wish to delete.
Step 4 : Click on "Delete Backup" in the bottom-right corner.
Step 5 : On the pop-up confirm window, hit "Delete", then hit "OK" to exit the preferences.
Note: Delete text messages backup from iTunes/iCloud requires you to delete the entire backup, so make sure you don't have any information you want to keep in this backup.
