Unlike most Android devices, Apple’s iPhone/iPad have no build-in file system feature, and because of Apple’s security settings, there are many limitations when transferring files to Apple devices. Wondering how to transfer some Word & PDF files between your iPhone/iPad and computer? And this article is here to help you with that.
Of course, to easily transfer files between computer and iPhone/iPad, we need a third-party tool to help us. Part 1. Transfer documents from iPhone/iPad to computer.
Download and install this handy tool on your computer, launch it. Then connect your iPhone/iPad to the program with a USB cable, Syncios would detect it very soon. There are five options on the left, Media, Photos, Ebook, Apps, Information.
1. App documents
Click on Apps module, find the very app and click on the Eye button behind the app. Then click “Export” button to transfer the file to computer. Please kindly note that not for iOS 8.3 and later versions, only the apps with file sharing authority can be previewed, you can check the authority via iTunes > Device > App.
2. File system
If the app document can’t be previewed for lacking file sharing authority. Then please navigate to “Toolkit” module on the homepage, find “File System” feature and open it. Simply find the path where your documents saved, then click “Export” to transfer it to your computer.
Part 2. Download files from computer to iPhone/iPad.
To transfer files like Word or PDF documents from computer to iPhone/iPad:
1. Import documents via Ebooks section
After connected your iPhone/iPad to the program, click on the Ebook option on the left of the panel, then tap “Add” to import the file or folder to your iPhone/iPad. After added successfully, you can open the documents with the iBook app on your iPhone/iPad.
2. File system
Similarly, you can also download files from computer to iPhone/iPad via the File System feature mentioned on the above.
