Have you just got the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and can’t work out where the SIM and microSD cards go? Maybe you need to take either out as you’re selling your phone or want to transfer media to your computer? If you’re in a muddle, fear not as our quick and easy guide will talk you through everything you need to know.

For both of these guides, you’ll need the SIM removal tool that came in the box with your phone. If you can’t find this, you can try a pin or earring but unlike other phones, a toothpick will probably be too thick. Once you’ve got that in hand, here’s what you do.

How to insert and remove a SIM card on the Galaxy Note 7

Insert your SIM tool into the little hole on the top-left edge of your Note 7.
Pull out the tray that pops up slightly.
Put your nano SIM card face-down in the smaller tray (the section that goes into the device first, like in the photo above)
Put the tray back into your phone and push it in firmly
After a moment, your phone will connect to the mobile network and you’ll be able to use it as normal.

That was easy, right? Well if you want to put a microSD card into your phone, it’s just as easy as inserting a SIM card:
